History of KACCNY
The Korean American Community Center of New York, Inc. (KACCNY) had its opening ceremony on Oct. 2, 1999, in conjunction with Korean Health Care Center of the St. Vincent’s Hospital. From 1998 to 1999, the founding members of the Center met with representatives of Saint Vincent’s Hospital on numerous occasions to establish a health care clinic for Korean families who cannot afford adequate health care services due to their economic and cultural limitations. KACCNY moved main office from Brooklyn to Bayside, Queens on July 1, 2007 in order to help more families in need. KACCNY has developed and is providing comprehensive social services to all ages and genders of low-income families in the five boroughs of New York City and beyond.
